Transitioning Back into the Field

As New Jersey is officially into phase two today we are seeing lots of changes coming to our area. Restaurants are allowed to have outdoor dining, beauty services are opening for services again, retail stores are reopening for in store shopping, and all with various protocol in place to try and keep us all as safe as possible.

Over the last few weeks we have started to take a look at how Interior Design and our role in your life can be played a bit more safely. During the first three months of COVID and the shelter at home orders, we transitioned to 100% remote services; and now we are transitioning back into the field.

The safest way we’ve figured out to do this is by offering hybrid consultations for our services to get your project started. We spend some time with you on a video call, getting a walk through, listening to your concerns and taking a ton of notes, and then we schedule a time to see your space without you in it.

Here’s what we are doing to keep things safe:

  • We are using all wipeable materials when we come to your home, so our bags, tape measures, notebooks and pens are getting wiped down before and after any site visits.

  • We are carrying hand sanitizer with us and sanitizing before and after all home visits.

  • We are having clients vacate the space, and then meet us outside afterwards to discuss any questions and next steps from a safe social distance.

  • We are wearing masks anytime we are in public, but especially when we are in your home.

  • We are removing shoes upon arrival to ensure we aren’t tracking anything in on our feet.

Right now, we have found this to be the safest way to get back into your homes, while keeping everyone as safe as possible. With the majority of us having been sheltered in our space for the last 100 days (+/-), there are a lot of things you’ve likely started to notice that just aren’t working for you, and we want you to feel good in your home. We want to help you create a space that works for you so that instead of feeling like you are surviving this pandemic, you can start to really thrive in it.

Your space should work for you, it should feel like you, it should be comforting, relaxing and supportive to your life and your lifestyle. Right now, our demands on our homes are a bit more intense, and we are all learning how to reshape the space around us, if you need help, we are here, and we can even be there, so long as you aren’t there at the same time ;)
